Roadside bomb strikes MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad Public Affairs

BAGHDAD – While conducting a combat security patrol, two MND-B Soldiers died and three others were wounded when an improvised explosive device detonated in a southern section of the Iraqi capital April 4.

Iraqi security forces and Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldiers continue conducting operations in support of Operation Fardh Al-Qanoon to help set on-going conditions for a stable and self-reliant Iraq.

During the past week, elements of this unit have found three weapons caches and detained three suspected insurgents during targeted raids conducted in the area. Finding these weapons caches and arresting individuals affiliated with them helps reduce the threat of insurgent attacks and continues to aid in providing a more secure and safe living environment for the Iraqi people.

The deceased Soldiers’ names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
