L-3 Communications Awarded Potential $94.6 Million Joint Warfare Support Division Contract

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 16, 2007--L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that its Government Services, Inc. (L-3 GSI) subsidiary has been awarded a five-year contract, provided all options are exercised, by the Joint Warfare Support Division (JWSD), Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center, Charleston, to provide services to include integration, production, test and evaluation, fielding, training, certification/accreditation, maintenance and life-cycle sustainment management. Representing new business to L-3, the value of the contract is $94.6 million, provided all options are exercised.

The JWSD is a SPAWAR Center Charleston Field Activity located in Tampa, FL, Fayetteville, NC and Charleston, SC. The primary mission of the JWSD is to support the Joint Warfighters and their infrastructure. Among other things, JWSD is engaged in work on tactical satellite, telecommunications, information technology networking equipment and psychological operations equipment.
