Task Force Lightning Soldiers attacked
Multi-National Division – North PAO

TIKRIT, Iraq – One Soldier died as a result of injuries sustained from an explosion when Task Force Lightning Soldiers were attacked while conducting combat operations in Salah ad Din Province, Thursday.

One Soldier was wounded and taken to a Coalition medical facility for treatment.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
