BAGHDAD – Soldiers from Multi-National Division - Baghdad operating with Iraqi security forces have successfully found 62 weapons caches and 157 improvised explosive devices during the month of March. These combined security operations further ensure the security of Iraqi citizens and help set conditions for a stable Iraq and enable the government of Iraq to be self-reliant.

March 13, a MND-B unit struck a roadside bomb while on a combat patrol in a southern section of the Iraqi capital, killing one Soldier and wounding three others.

This unit, while partnered with Iraqi security forces, successfully seized three weapons caches during early morning raids conducted in a southern area of Baghdad, March 11, effectively reducing terrorist’s ability to produce improvised explosive devices and other bomb-making materials.
