Task Force Lightning Soldiers attacked
Multi-National Division – North PAO

TIKRIT – Task Force Lightning Soldiers were attacked while conducting combat operations in Salah ad Din province Monday.

Six Task Force Lightning Soldiers died as a result of injuries sustained following an explosion near their vehicles.

Three other Soldiers were wounded and taken to a Coalition medical facility for treatment.

The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
