21 Feb 2007 | Ref. 058/2007

Abu Dhabi, UAE - BAE Systems welcomes today's announcement by the United Arab Emirates Air Force and Air Defence (UAE AF & AD), that the new Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer (AJT) has been chosen to compete for their fast jet training requirement.

The new Hawk AJT is the latest version of the world’s most successful advanced jet trainer, out-performing and outselling all other aircraft in its class.

Mark Parkinson, managing director Training Solutions at BAE Systems, said: “We welcome the news that the new Hawk AJT is being considered by the UAE AF & AD as a potential answer to their advanced jet trainer requirement.

“We will now work closely with the UAE AF&AD to fully understand how the integrated training solution we offer, with the new Hawk AJT at the centre, can meet their advanced jet training needs.”
