Israel Aerospace Industries' Elta Systems Group Awarded a $20 Contract for Fighter Aircraft Self-Protection Systems

Israel Aerospace Industries’ (IAI), Elta Systems Group (Elta) received a $20 million contract to supply fighter aircraft self-protection systems to an undisclosed customer, for upgrading its fighter aircraft fleet. The contract was received after a successful demonstration.
Elta manufactures advanced self-protection systems that increase fighter aircraft survivability, while operating in hostile areas with radar guided weapon systems. The self- protection system detects lethal threats, alerts the pilot and employs effective countermeasures.
Elta’s self-protection systems are operational on a variety of fighter aircraft in the Israel Air Force and in foreign Air Forces.
