General Dynamics Awarded $21 Million Contract to Support the U.S. 309th Military Intelligence Battalion

FAIRFAX, Va. – General Dynamics Information Technology, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded a $20.7 million follow-on contract to provide live and constructive personnel training and simulation support services to the 309th Military Intelligence (MI) Army Battalion.

Under this contract, General Dynamics will enable the 309th MI Battalion to train soldiers, airmen, sailors, Marines and civilians in specified areas at Fort Huachuca, Ariz. Specifically, General Dynamics will provide personnel with the technical and tactical expertise necessary to serve as training specialists, instructors and curriculum developers for the 309th MI Battalion.

This will help ensure personnel are prepared and able to conduct specified duties and responsibilities in support of on-going contingency operations.”

The 309th MI Battalion is responsible for training soldiers in MI occupational specialties. All training courses are hands-on and incorporate the contemporary operating environment and cultural awareness.
