SAIC Wins Program and Integration Support Contract

SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va., Jan 04, 2007 /PRNewswire-FirstCall via COMTEX News Network/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) announced today that it won a contract from the U.S. Army Research and Development Command Acquisition Center to provide program management, integration and site services for the Army's Chemical Materials Agency (CMA).

The single award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a five-year period of performance and a total ceiling value of $250 million.

"We will support CMA's management team by analyzing data, identifying issues and formulating innovative solutions and alternatives to program challenges," said John Ferriter, SAIC senior vice president and general manager of the Homeland Protection and Preparedness Business Unit. "We have supported the CMA mission for more than 15 years and are pleased to continue our participation in this critical program for the nation."

SAIC will support program- and site-level management and integration requirements related to the CMA mission to store and dispose of the U.S. chemical weapons stockpile and non-stockpile material.

The SAIC-led team will perform program management documentation, program monitoring and analysis, cost estimating, program management support, and meeting and briefing support. SAIC also will provide field office services for monitoring and analysis, document preparation and review, project management support, technical studies, testing services, configuration control support, quality assurance services, laboratory and monitoring services, and environmental compliance support.
