IED STRIKES MND-B PATROL IN EAST BAGHDAD

BAGHDAD – An improvised explosive device detonated on a Multi-National Division - Baghdad patrol in an eastern neighborhood of the Iraqi capital, killing two Soldiers Jan. 25.

The unit was conducting a combat patrol when the roadside bomb detonated, killing two Soldiers and wounding two others.

In the past week, patrols in the area found numerous explosive devices, ranging from mines to roadside bombs, making the streets safer for Baghdad residents.

The deceased Soldiers’ names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
