| Release Date: 1/28/2007 Release Number: 07-01-02C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE HELICOPTER GOES DOWN NORTH OF NAJAF BAGHDAD - While conducting operations to assist Iraqi Security Forces that were attacked earlier today, a Multi-National Division - Baghdad helicopter went down at approximately 1:30 p.m. north of An Najaf. Two Soldiers were killed when the helicopter went down. Their remains have been recovered. Names of the Soldiers are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. Operations in the area continue. The incident is under investigation. -30- |
