Bomb blast strikes MND-B patrol
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD – An improvised explosive device detonated near a Multi-National Division - Baghdad patrol, killing one Soldier in a southwestern section of the Iraqi capital Dec. 29.

The unit was conducting battlefield circulation when a roadside bomb exploded near them, killing one Soldier and wounding three others.

Earlier this week, a patrol from the same battalion responded to three detonated vehicle bombs, aiding victims and providing security until the Iraqi National Police and fire department were able to secure the area.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
