Reconnaissance Mission Ends in Vehicle Rollover
Multi-National Division – Baghdad PAO

BAGHDAD – One Multi-National Division – Baghdad Soldier was killed and two others injured when a High Mobility Multi-Purpose Wheeled Vehicle rolled over along a dirt canal trail during a combat reconnaissance mission south of the Iraqi capital Dec. 26.

The incident is still under investigation.

In the past month, while conducting patrols in the same area, the unit involved in this incident has found multiple roadside bombs, disabling the insurgents’ ability to disrupt operations of the Iraqi Army and coalition forces.

The deceased Soldier’s name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
