- ATK Receives $66 Million in Additional Small-Caliber Ammunition Orders ATK 13 Sep 2006 -- Alliant Techsystems (NYSE: ATK), the largest supplier of small-caliber ammunition to the United States military, has received approximately $66 million in additional small- caliber orders from the U.S. Army Field Service Command, Rock Island, Ill., since April 2006. ATK operates the U.S. Army's Lake City small-caliber ammunition plant in Independence, Mo., where it produces a mix of 5.56mm, 7.62mm, 50-caliber and various other small-caliber rounds.
