Foreign Ministry spokesman Hamid-Reza Asefi said here Sunday that any resolution passed by the United Nations Security Council on Lebanon should be fair, not one-sided and take into consideration the roots of Lebanese crisis.

"The resolution should no longer allow Israel to continue its aggression," Asefi told reporters during his weekly press briefing.

He added: "The SC resolution on Lebanon should also be supported by the Lebanese groups.

"The resolution should not be passed only for directing the world public opinion's pressure from the US, the Zionist regime and Western states to the Lebanese side," stressed the spokesman.

He added that the objective behind passing a UNSC resolution should be to resolve the ongoing crisis in Lebanon, therefore, it has to take into account the views of all the Lebanese sides.

Asefi added that the Council resolution should also be able "to stop the Zionist regime from brazenly ridiculing international norms."

Commenting on Tehran's stance on Lebanon's 7-article plan, Asefi said "Tehran will support any plan endorsed by all the Lebanese groups.

"The Zionist regime is the loser in the war," said the spokesman stressing that the Hizbullah of Lebanon would be the ultimate winner.

Noting that the "false glory" of the Zionist regime had collapsed during the Israel-Lebanon war, Asefi said Israel is now facing the hatred of the world public opinion.

"Israel is the most hated entity in the world now," Asefi said.
