DoD Identifies Army Casualties


           

 

The Department of Defense announced today the death of three soldiers, who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom. They died in Ar Ramadi, Iraq on Aug 9, when an improvised explosive device detonated near their HMMWV during combat operations. The soldiers were assigned to the Army's 1st Battalion, 37th Armor Regiment, 1st Armored Division, Friedberg, Germany.

Killed were:

1st. Sgt. Aaron D. Jagger, 43, of Hillsdale, Mich.

Spc. Ignacio Ramirez, 22, of Henderson, Nev.

Spc. Shane W. Woods, 23, of Palmer, Alaska
