Insisting it will use any strategy to defend itself, including suicide bombers, Sri Lankan Tamil Tiger rebels warned Colombo any resumption of all-out civil war will be felt throughout the island.
"If the Sri Lankan government, instead of bringing an end to the war, forces another brutal war on the Tamils...then the effects of that war will be felt throughout the island," warned S P Thamilselvan, Doordarshan News reports here said quoting the rebel group's political wing leader.
"If the Sri Lankan government unleashes another brutal ethnic war on the Tamils, then the Tamils will not hesitate to use any strategy to defend themselves," he added, when asked if the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) would resort to feared Black Tiger suicide bombers.
The stark Tiger threat comes just days after one of their worst military confrontations since the 2002 ceasefire that many now expect to degenerate into a new chapter of the conflict that has already killed around 65,000 people.
