DoD Identifies Army Casualties


           

 

            The Department of Defense announced today the death of two soldiers who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.  They died on May 14, in Yusufiyah, Iraq, when their aircraft was shot down during combat operations.  Both soldiers were assigned to the 1st Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment (Airborne), Fort Campbell, Ky.

 

            Killed were:

 

            Maj. Matthew W. Worrell, 34, of Lewisville, Texas.

 

            Chief Warrant Officer 5 Jamie D. Weeks, 47 of Daleville, Ala.
