CACI Awarded $42 Million Contract by the Defense Information Systems Agency
Wide Area Workflow Solution Supports DoD's Paperless Contracting Initiative
Arlington, VA, May 30, 2006 - CACI International Inc (NYSE: CAI) announced today that it has been awarded a prime contract estimated at $42 million for the CACI-developed Wide Area Workflow-Receipt and Acceptance (WAWF-RA) application by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA). The order has a base period of one year with four 12-month options and enhances CACI's systems integration line of work.
This award includes program management, development, sustainment, integration, and training in support of the DISA WAWF-RA Program.
The WAWF-RA is a contracting application that eliminates paper from the receipt/acceptance and invoice/payments process of the contracting lifecycle. It enables federal government contractors and authorized DoD personnel to use the World Wide Web to generate, capture and process invoice, acceptance, and payment-related documentation and data.
CACI has long been a leader in advancing WAWF-RA technology as an application that brings demonstrable advantages to users in all phases of contract development. The ability to use web technology to process payment information 24/7 results in increased data accuracy, reduced operating costs, and no risk of mail-borne hazards. For vendors, WAWF enables a streamlined invoicing and receipts acceptance system with ability to quickly view previously submitted documents. Government payment officials have the ability to review and reject, with comments, improper invoices for correction and resubmission.
Paul Cofoni, President of U.S. Operations, said, "By dramatically reducing their dependence on paper-based, labor intensive processes, the Wide Area Workflow-Receipt and Acceptance application adds another level of speed and collaborative efficiency to how our customers are able to accomplish their objectives. This contract bolsters, once again, our unique legacy of supporting the WAWF initiative."
According to Dr. J.P. (Jack) London, CACI Chairman, President, and CEO, "Government transformation is a vital process for which CACI is proud to provide solutions. The information-sharing advantages offered by our Wide Area Workflow-Receipt and Acceptance application for the DISA will contribute to the DoD's mission in providing for our nation's critical needs in defense and homeland security."
