  • Boeing Announces Supplier Agreement with Telephonics Corporation for Combat Search and Rescue Program Boeing 31 May 2006 -- The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] has announced an agreement with Telephonics Corporation of Farmingdale, N.Y., to support the proposed HH-47 Combat Search and Rescue helicopter program for the U.S. Air Force.
  • LOCKHEED MARTIN UPGRADES THIRD FALCONER AIR OPERATIONS CENTER Lockheed Martin 31 May 2006 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] has completed the latest upgrades to the military’s premier joint air battle management system, Theater Battle Management Core Systems (TBMCS), at the third Air Force Air Operations Center (AOC). The TBMCS 1.1.3 upgrade being fielded to the AOCs enables warfighters to fully support the command and control process for air operations via a web-browser without being physically located at the AOC.
  • LOCKHEED MARTIN DELIVERS UPGRADED P-3 MARITIME SURVEILLANCE AIRCRAFT FOR U.S. NAVY FOREIGN MILITARY SALE Lockheed Martin 31 May 2006 -- Lockheed Martin [NYSE: LMT] today delivered the 10th upgraded P-3C maritime surveillance aircraft originally contracted by the U.S. Navy’s Naval Air Systems Command as part of a foreign military sale to the Royal Netherlands Navy (RNLN).
  • CACI Awarded First Task Order Under Strategic Services Sourcing Contract CACI 31 May 2006 -- CACI International Inc (NYSE: CAI) announced today that it has been awarded the first task order of its new Strategic Services Sourcing (S3) contract with the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Life Cycle Management Command (C-E LCMC), headquartered at Ft. Monmouth, New Jersey. On March 15, CACI announced it was one of just seven prime contractors on the S3 program, which has a total estimated ceiling value of $19.25 billion. The new task order is a two-year award, with a ceiling value of $33 million, to support geographic information systems (GIS) for the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) through the U. S. Army Communications-Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC). The contract continues the ongoing expansion of CACI's business in intelligence solutions.
  • Boeing-led Industry Team to Pursue Secure Border Initiative Effort Boeing 31 May 2006 -- Boeing [NYSE: BA] officials today announced that its best-of-industry team is pursuing the SBInet program. The Boeing-led team submitted its proposal to the U.S. government and is competing for an estimated $2 billion contract award.
  • Russia pulls out of joint plane project with Ukraine - minister RIA Novosti 31 May 2006 -- Russia has withdrawn from a joint program with Ukraine to produce the An-70 military transport aircraft as the project is outdated, the defense minister said Wednesday.
  • Former Soviet aircraft carrier sold in China for $16mln RIA Novosti 31 May 2006 -- A former Soviet aircraft carrier was auctioned off Wednesday in the Chinese town of Shenzhen for 128 million yuan ($16 mln).
