Korean Government Gives Final « Go Ahead » for Korean Helicopter Program (KHP)

Eurocopter warmly welcomes the final decision made by Korea’s DAPA (Defense Acquisition Program Administration) for the acquisition of 245 utility helicopters to be developed by Korea Aerospace Industries Limited in partnership with Eurocopter, and produced as from 2011 onwards
This decision, which occurred yesterday during the 2nd Defense Program Promotion Meeting led by Korea’s Defense Minister Yoon Kwang Woong, officially launches this significant military transport helicopter program, first of its kind in Korea.
Eurocopter, which has been very successful in the civil and parapublic Korean markets over the last decades, is very proud to be associated to this governmental program Eurocopter is a wholly-owned subsidiary of EADS.
