SOLDIER DIES FROM IED ATTACK IN AL ANBAR

CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – A Soldier assigned to the 4th Squadron, 14th Cavalry Regiment, attached to Regimental Combat Team 2, died as a result of wounds received when the vehicle he was riding in was attacked by an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations in al Anbar province, Feb. 5.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.

The 4-14 Cavalry Regiment is currently operating in the western al Anbar province attached to RCT-2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).
