Pakistan has conveyed to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) that its mission's stay in the country would not be extended.
Islamabad assured to NATO on Thursday that the treaty would be given full assistance in withdrawal preparations.
The NATO the other day wanted to know a response from the government of Pakistan about its stay beyond 90-day mandate, reports said on Friday.
The government has said that NATO forces comprising engineers and doctors were engaged in relief and rehabilitation operation in the earthquake-hit areas.
Measuring 7.6 on the Richter scale, the earthquake hit Pakistan's NorthWest Frontier Province and Kashmir under Pakistan's
administration on October 8.
The tremor has so far killed more than 73,000 and injured over 100 thousand people in addition to rendering four million.
Pakistan had sought NATO help as a non-NATO ally.
However, the deployment of the treaty forces has not gone down well with the opposition parties.
Even some feared it was part of a conspiracy to resolve Kashmir as per the wishes of the imperialist forces.
The government has asserted that the NATO forces that consisted of engineers and doctors were here for purely relief and rehabilitation activities.
