Int'l confab in Berlin to focus on Europe's future military role

The 4th Congress on European Defense will open on Monday in Berlin, focusing on the future military role of Europe.
The two-day confab titled 'Europe's Role in Defense' is a meeting place for more than 1,800 political and military decision-makers as well as top military industrialists and experts from 45 nations.
Main topics include European security and defense policy, transatlantic relations, international crisis management, the fight against terrorism and the latest developments in the military engineering range.
The conference is jointly organized by the German defense ministry, the subcommittee of the European Parliament on Security and Defense and the 'Behoerden Spiegel', Germany's leading monthly newspaper for civil and military services as well as the magazine 'European Defense-Magazine for European Armed Forces'.
