U.S. AIR FORCE PAKISTAN RELIEF SUMMARY

SOUTHWEST ASIA — The U.S. Air Force continued to support Pakistan-led earthquake recovery operations by airlifting much-needed supplies into the devastated region Saturday.

One Air Force C-17 Globemaster and one contracted AN-124 Condor flew in more than 178,000 pounds of cargo trucks, medical and office supplies and aircraft parts, in response to requests from Pakistan’s government.

To date, the U.S. Air Force has airlifted more than six million pounds of relief supplies to Pakistan.

The United States will continue to meet the challenges presented by weather, terrain, and sheer magnitude of this tragedy with technology, innovative planning and determination, in support of the people of Pakistan.
