U.S. SOLDIER KILLED IN BUS ACCIDENT

Arifjan, Kuwait – A U.S. soldier was killed, and 19 U.S. soldiers and a third country national contractor were injured when the transport bus they were in overturned at approximately 9:50 a.m. today in Kuwait.

The injured soldiers and injured contractor were medically evacuated by air and ground ambulance to nearby military medical facilities. The contractor was driving the bus with 30 U.S. soldiers on board.

The name of the deceased soldier is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The accident is under investigation.
