| November 16, 2005 Release Number: 05-11-27C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FIVE II MEF MARINES KILLED IN ACTION CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – Five Marines assigned to Regimental Combat Team - 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), were killed in action during a fire fight Nov. 16, while conducting combat operations against the enemy in support of Operation Steel Curtain in New Ubaydi. During the engagement, 16 enemy fighters were confirmed killed. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
