Germany-Afghanistan-Explosion
A roadside bomb exploded as a Dutch military convoy was driving by in northern Afghanistan on Saturday morning, damaging one military vehicle, the Dutch news agency ANP quoted the Defense Ministry as saying in the Hague.
No one was injured in the explosion of the bomb which seemed to be home-made, said a Dutch Defense Ministry spokesperson.
The attack on the three-vehicle logistical convoy occurred at 8:30 am local time in the northern Afghan province of Baghlan.
There are around 300 Dutch soldiers stationed in the Kabul region as part of the International Security Assistance Force (ISAF).
