The Danish military reported its first fatality in Iraq when a roadside bomb exploded in the southern Iraqi city of Basra, killing one soldier and injuring two others, DPA cited the Danish army command center as saying in Copenhagen.
There are around 500 Danish soldiers deployed in southern Iraq as part of the US-led occupation of Iraq.
Denmark took part in the illegal military invasion of Iraq in 2003.
