Five Soldiers killed in Ramadi

CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq -- Five Soldiers assigned to the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), were killed in action conducting combat operations against the enemy when their vehicle was attacked with an improvised explosive device in Ar Ramadi on Oct. 15.

The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.

Several U.S. Army units are attached to II MEF (Fwd) during Operation Iraqi Freedom.
