TASK FORCE LIBERTY SOLDIER KILLED BY MINE

TIKRIT, Iraq-- A Task Force Liberty Soldier died as a result of injuries sustained when the vehicle which he was traveling in struck a landmine Oct. 29.

The Soldier’s unit was conducting security operations southwest of Bayji early morning Oct. 29.

Four other Soldiers in the vehicle also received injuries. Two were treated and returned to duty.

The name of the deceased the Soldier is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
