October 27, 2005 Release Number: 05-10-37C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ONE KILLED, 4 WOUNDED BY SMALL-ARMS FIRE, IED ATTACK LSA ANACONDA, BALAD, Iraq – One 1st COSCOM Soldier died as a result of his wounds and four Soldiers were wounded as a result of an improvised explosive device and small arms fire attack while conducting a combat logistics patrol at about 11:15 a.m. Oct. 26, near Ashraf, Iraq. The Soldiers were taken to a Coalition Forces medical treatment facility. The incident is currently under investigation and the names of the Soldiers are being withheld pending next of kin notification.
