| October 21, 2005 Release Number: 05-10-28C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE THREE MARINES KILLED IN ACTION CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – Three Marines assigned to Regimental Combat Team 8, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), were killed in action while conducting combat operations against the enemy when their vehicle was attacked with an improvised explosive device in the vicinity of Nasser Wa Salaam on Oct. 20. During the subsequent engagement, Marines killed two terrorists and detained four others suspected of involvement in the attack. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
