| October 18, 2005 Release Number: 05-10-19C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TWO MARINES KILLED NEAR AR RUTBAH CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – Two Marines assigned to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), were killed in action by small-arms fire while conducting combat operations against the enemy in the vicinity of Ar Rutbah Oct. 17. The engagement resulted in four enemy killed and the seizure of small arms. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
