| October 17, 2005 Release Number: 05-10-18C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MARINE KILLED BY IED IN SAQLAWIYAH CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – A Marine assigned to Regimental Combat Team 8, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), died of wounds sustained while conducting combat operations against the enemy when his vehicle was attacked with an improvised explosive device in Saqlawiyah on Oct. 15. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
