| October 7, 2005 Release Number: 05-10-09C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE FOUR MARINES KILLED BY IED CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – Four Marines assigned to Regimental Combat Team 8, 2d Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), were killed in action by an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations near al Karmah, Iraq, on Oct. 6. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin and release by the Department of Defense.
