The Democratic Society Movement said the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) should declare an unconditional and indefinite cease-fire as soon as possible.
The Democratic Society Movement was launched earlier this year by a group of Kurdish former parliamentarians following their release from prison.
On 17 August, Turkey's biggest Kurdish party -- the Democracy and People's Party -- announced it was joining the movement, which aims to become the main interlocutor in talks with the Turkish government on Kurdish rights.
Last week, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the government was open to dialogue with the civic society to resolve what he called the "Kurdish problem."

Kurdish Group Calls On PKK For Cease-Fire
