U.S. forces, terrorists clash; civilians hurt in fight
Multi-National Force-Iraq
BAGHDAD , Iraq – Terrorists attacked a Task Force Baghdad patrol in central Baghdad approximately 4 a.m. Aug. 16. In the ensuing fight, U.S. helicopters tracked and engaged the terrorists. This fight resulted in an undetermined number of civilian casualties. The incident is under investigation. Multi-National Force-Iraq regrets any loss of life or injuries sustained by the civilians in the area.
