Baghdad Attacks Target Police
9 August 2005 (RFE/RL) -- There was another series of attacks against Iraqi security forces in Baghdad today.
At least four police officers were killed when gunmen ambushed their car in eastern Baghdad.
In a separate attack in eastern Baghdad, at least one officer was killed and another wounded.
In a third attack in south Baghdad, gunmen shot dead one police officer.
Insurgents are regularly targeting Iraqi security forces in their bid to destabilize the country.
