SUFFOLK, Va. – General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, a business unit of General Dynamics (NYSE: GD), has been awarded eight delivery orders to continue support of the U.S. Joint Forces Command’s Joint Experimentation Program and Joint Futures Lab. The orders total $79.3 million and include engineering, technical and administrative services for joint concept development and prototyping through July 31, 2006.

These orders were issued pursuant to a contract that was originally awarded in 2004. These orders follow the $92 million contract extension awarded in July 2005 and bring the total value of the contract to $182.2 million. The contract includes options through 2009.

General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems will support the mission of the Joint Experimentation Program to develop, explore and assess new joint warfighting concepts, organizational structures and emerging technologies through discovery, innovation and experimentation, in order to drive transformational changes that achieve the optimal future joint force capability.
