Speaking to journalists in Banja Luka today, Cavic said Bosnian Serb police have been actively working for months to locate people wanted by the UN war crimes court at The Hague, including Karadzic.
Karadzic is wanted for his alleged role in the massacre of nearly 8,000 Muslims in the Bosnian town of Srebrenica as well as his role in the siege of Sarajevo during the Bosnian war.
Cavic's comments came less than a week after Karadzic's wife Ljiljana Karadzic called on her husband to surrender to relieve pressure on their family.
