| August 22, 2005 Release Number: 05-08-33C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TWO TASK FORCE LIBERTY SOLDIERS KILLED, TWO WOUNDED BY IED TIKRIT, Iraq – One Task Force Liberty Soldier was killed and three were wounded by the detonation of an improvised explosive device on a combat patrol southwest of Samarra at about 12:40 p.m. Aug. 22. The three wounded Soldiers were taken to a Coalition Forces medical treatment facility, where one later died of wounds. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
