| August 2, 2005 Release Number: 05-08-03C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MARINE KILLED BY CAR BOMB NEAR HIT CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq – A Marine assigned to Regimental Combat Team-2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), was killed in action Aug. 1 by a suicide vehicle-borne improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations near Hit, Iraq. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
