            The Department of Defense announced today the death of a Marine who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

            Sgt. Bryan J. Opskar, 32, of Princeton, Minn., died July 23 when his vehicle was struck by an improvised explosive device while conducting combat operations near Ar Rutbah, Iraq.  He was assigned to 2^nd Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion, 2^nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, Camp Lejeune, N.C.
