           The Department of Defense announced today the death of two Marines who were supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

            Staff Sgt. Joseph P. Goodrich, 32, of Allegheny, Pa.

            Lance Cpl. Ryan J. Kovacicek, 22, of Washington, Pa.

            Both Marines died July 10 from enemy indirect fire while conducting combat operations in Hit, Iraq.  They were assigned to Marine Forces Reserve’s 3^rd Battalion, 25^th Marine Regiment, 4^th Marine Division, Moundsville, W.Va.  During Operation Iraqi Freedom their unit was attached to Regimental Combat Team-2, 2^nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward).
