DoD Identifies Army Casualty

           

 

  

              The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Iraqi Freedom.

 

              Sgt. Chad M. Mercer, 25, of Waycross, Ga., died June 30 in Baghdad, Iraq, where his M2A2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle rolled over while conducting combat operations.  Mercer was assigned to the Army National Guard's 2nd Battalion, 121st Infantry Regiment, Fitzgerald, Ga.
