Suspected bomber detained in Samarra

TIKRIT, Iraq – Task Force Liberty Soldiers detained one individual in Samarra after an improvised explosive device detonated in front of their combat patrol July 18.

During a search of the area, the patrol discovered wires running up to the roof of a nearby house and found the individual and two motorcycle batteries on the roof.

The suspect was taken to a Coalition Forces base for questioning. No Task Force Liberty Soldiers were injured in the incident.
