In the northern city of Mosul, a suicide bomber walked into a police station and detonated his explosives, killing at least four policemen.
General Wathiq Mohammed said 18 policemen were also wounded in that attack.
In Baghdad, a suicide car bomber targeted a police patrol in the Dura neighborhood, killing three policemen and wounding five others.
Meanwhile, the British Defense Ministry says three British soldiers were killed in an attack in southern Iraq. The soldiers died when a suspected roadside bomb detonated in the al-Amarah area, north of Al-Basrah.
The attacks came after a string of bombings across Iraq yesterday left at least 30 people dead.
