| July 29, 2005 Release Number: 05-07-23C FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE TWO MARINES KILLED IN CYKLA CAMP FALLUJAH, Iraq -- Two Marines assigned to Regimental Combat Team-2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force (Forward), were killed in action July 28 when their unit came under attack by small arms fire and rocket propelled grenades. The incident took place during combat operations in Cykla, Iraq. Cykla is about 200 kilometers west of Baghdad. The names of the deceased are being withheld pending notification of next of kin. -30- |
