Weapons cache recovered, terrorists detained north of Babil

CAMP ECHO, Iraq – Multi-National Division Central-South troops discovered a weapons cache and detained seven terror suspects during overnight operations ending early June 14.

The cordon and search in northern Babil province netted weapons parts, ammunition and about 10 kilograms of explosives along with the detainees.

MND-CS launched Operation White Shield June 14 in southern Qadisiyah province. About 2,000 troops are involved in the operation.
